China Alumni Association Overview

Waseda University was founded in 1882 and accepted the first Chinese students in 1899, and by 1910, it had accepted about 2000 Chinese students. This includes outstanding human resources from various fields such as Li Dazhao, Chen Duxiu, Song Jiaoren, Liao Zhongkai, Liao Zhongkai, Lin Changmin, Tang Bao, Chen Duxiu, and Li Shiwei. Currently, the university has agreements with 49 universities in China, and among Japanese universities, the school with the largest number of Chinese students is studying with more than 2,500 Chinese students.

​ On March 19, 2017, the regional branch "Waseda University Chinese Alumni Association" was established in Beijing. Became the first Chinese alumni chairman. On March 20, the same year, the "Waseda University Chinese Alumni Association Overseas Branch" was established, and Chinese graduates who have graduated from Waseda University who live overseas are members. As of January 2020, the number of members has exceeded 600, mainly in Tokyo.

​ In September 2022, it is registered with the University Alumni Association as an Overseas tomon association.

The Overseas Subcommittee is a branch organization of the Chinese Alumni Association, which is a group of Chinese students who mainly studied at Waseda University and currently live outside of China.

We are developing various activities mainly in Tokyo .
